EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Vienna Police Department request that the Town Council approve payment not to exceed $102,425.41 to Tyler Technologies for the standard software maintenance agreement (SSMA). Tyler provides maintenance services to the department’s computer-aided dispatch, law enforcement records management and mobile data systems. This is a sole-source contract, and appropriate waivers and notices have been posted.
Departmental Recommendation: Police Department recommends approval.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town has provided sole-source written justification for the use of Tyler Technology’s software and the Town Council may approve the proposed expenditure of funds in its discretion.
