Public hearing on the Town’s 2024 Legislative Agenda

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY

 

Each year, the Town of Vienna receives public input related to a legislative agenda to submit to the General Assembly.  The proposed legislative agenda consists of various issues of concern to the Town that may be addressed by the Virginia General Assembly in its upcoming session.

 

The Town Council will prioritize the proposed Legislative Agenda after further discussion and input from the public.

Town Attorney Recommendation:  The Town Council may hold a public hearing on the proposed Town of Vienna 2024 Legislative Agenda in its discretion.

 

Town Manager's Recommendation:  I recommend the Town Council close the public hearing, approve the 2023 Town of Vienna Legislative Agenda (at its discretion) and direct the Town Clerk to advertise a Notice of Intent to Adopt, as presented.

“I further move that the Town Council submit its suggested rankings of Legislative Agenda items and that the Town Attorney tally the rankings and provide them for further discussion at the Regular Town Council Meeting of Dec. 4, 2023.

"I move to approve the 2024 Town of Vienna Legislative Agenda as proposed."
