EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
This is the 5th consecutive year of the Vienna Town Holiday Ornament. The ornament has been very well received by the community. Proceeds from the sale of the ornaments have totaled approximately $9,000. This year’s ornament will feature the “Vienna VA 250” logo. The ornaments will be sold at Town Hall, the Community Center and at various town events.
Departmental Recommendation: Designation of net proceeds to support the “Vienna VA 250” future events.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Purchasing Recommendation:
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town may approve the proposed Vienna Town Holiday Ornament and should direct where the proceeds will be credited or donated. Generally, the Town only makes donations to qualified community based non-profit entities. The Town Attorney would recommend that if the Town Council is so inclined to make a donation of the proceeds or net-proceeds after expenses, it specifically designate the non-profit/community-based organization.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve the holiday ornament, as presented.
