Correct Date on Motion to Adopt the Town of Vienna FY 2020-21 Tax Rates and Motion to Adopt FY 2020-21 Budget

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Council wishes to push the adoption of the FY 2020-21 tax rate and FY 2020-21 budget back from May 11, 2020 to June 15, 2020, to allow Council and staff more time to analyze the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on the Town’s finances. The motions to advertise and adopt the tax rate and budget had the original adoption date of May 11, 2020. These need to be changed by motion to June 15, 2020.

Departmental Recommendation: Council should approve the motion to adopt the FY 2020-21 tax rates and FY 2020-21 budget on June 15, 2020.
Finance Recommendation: Approve motion to adopt the FY 2020-21 tax rates and FY 2020-21 budget on June 15, 2020.

Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town Council may direct the Town Clerk to advertise the Intent to Adopt in its discretion.
