The Police Department requests approval to add $31,271 to ECS Mid-Atlantic budget for Police Station project observation and testing services.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY: In November of 2020, the Vienna Town Council approved a Police Department request to ride state contract DEB20170106HE to obtain special testing services from ECS Mid-Atlantic LLC, for a cost of $78,276.
As the project has moved forward, additional time and testing was required than originally expected. This additional work has resulted in the attached ECS change order in the amount of $29,783. The billing rates in the requested change order remain the same as was approved under the original contract in 2020.
The Police Department is requesting approval of the change order amount of $29,783 with an additional 5% added for contingency bringing the total amount of this request to $31,273. The additional funding will be taken out of the project’s overall contingency balance.
