BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
Each year the Town Council adopts a Legislative Agenda to submit to the Virginia General Assembly for consideration.
OVERVIEW:
The Town Council may adopt a Legislative Agenda in its discretion.
SUMMARY/STAFF IMPRESSIONS:
It is the impression of Town Staff that the Town Council should take the next few months to determine what legislative priorities are important for the Town.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
I recommend the Town Councilmembers briefly discuss which topics are important to them in advance of the 2022 Virginia General Assembly. This discussion should be a preview of the Conference Session that is planned for October 18th. The prefiling deadline is normally the first week of December each year.
