REQUEST FOR RECOMMENDATION TO THE TOWN COUNCIL ON PROPOSED SITE PLAN FOR 1007 ELECTRIC AVE SE, NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO-WAY DRIVE-THROUGH ATM FACILITY.

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) proposes relocating the existing drive-through automated teller machine (ATM) facility from the 820 Follin Lane SE (HQ1) property to the 1007 Electric Avenue SE property (HQ2). The ATM provides banking services for Navy Federal Credit Union members. The proposed drive-through is two lanes, one ATM serving a lane in each direction.
Two components of the proposal are not in conformance with zoning in the CP Corporate Park zoning district but are allowable with approvals of variances from the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). On April 16, 2025, the BZA granted the following two variances: 1) allowing the new drive-through ATM facility to within the front yard setback; and 2) allowing the new facility to have two lanes.

Per Section 18-836.2E of the Town Code, the site plan requires review and recommendation by the Planning Commission before final approval by the Town Council.
