EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Each year, a real estate tax rate is recommended as part of the Town Manager’s proposed budget for the coming fiscal year. This request is to set a public hearing for April 27, 2026, to provide for public input on the proposed real estate tax rate for fiscal year 2026-27.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend a public hearing on the FY 2026-27 Proposed Real Estate Tax Rate.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend a public hearing on the FY 2026-27 Proposed Real Estate Tax Rate.
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: In accordance with state and Town Code provisions, the Town Council may set a public hearing to receive public input on the proposed real estate tax rate for FY26/27 in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council set a public hearing for April 27, 2026, as presented.
