Aquatic and Fitness Center Timeline (5 min. staff presentation)

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
This discussion reflects:
1) Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funding approved by Council at the October 27, 2025 Council Meeting (Attachment 1);
2) A draft project timeline for the Aquatics and Fitness Center provided by the Town Manager to Council via email on October 31, 2025. This draft timeline identifies key milestones through the design and procurement phases. (Attachment 2);
3) The Navy Federal Credit Union advance of funds agreement with the Town of Vienna for the design of the Aquatics and Fitness Center executed by Council on November 10, 2025. (Attachment 3)
The next Council approval step is to award the Project Management firm. The Town is currently soliciting proposals from qualified Project Management (PM) firms to provide comprehensive project management services for the planning and design of a new Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Councilmember Anderson asked that the Aquatic and Fitness Center timeline be discussed at the January 12, 2026 work session. It was later communicated to me that discussing this matter during Town Manager’s time in this meeting would be preferred.
