Request approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Vienna Little League and Town of Vienna for use of Yeonas Park during the Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
For the past several years, the Town of Vienna has hosted its Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show at Southside Park. This year's event will be held Thursday, July 2, with a rain date of Sunday, July 5, (fireworks only). In order to adequately host the fireworks show at Southside Park, the Town is required to use Yeonas Park for spectator viewing. The Board of Vienna Little League has given permission for the Town to continue using Yeonas Park for this purpose. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) is attached.
The designated spectator areas at Yeonas Park will be open to the public no earlier than 6 p.m. and the parking lot will be closed no earlier than 12 p.m. on July 2. Music and entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. The Town will ensure Yeonas Park is cleared of the general public by 11 p.m. and clean-up of Yeonas Park by the Town will commence immediately following the Fireworks Show and conclude by 11 a.m. the next morning. In addition, the Town will require the contracted fireworks company to provide a certificate of insurance naming Vienna Little League as additional insured for the duration of the event.
