Request approval of sanitation trucks purchase within the Vehicle Replacement Program.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Department of Public Works (DPW) requests approval to purchase two (2) Heil High Sanitation Trucks from Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems utilizing Sourcewell contract #091219-THC. The recommended trucks are Heil High Compaction Rear Loader DuraPack 5000, 25 Cubic Yard Eject, Sanitation Trucks with International HX-620 chassis.
As outlined in the Vehicle Replacement Plan (VRP) FY 2023, the requested vehicles replace Trucks #0078 and #0079. The VRP estimated cost is $266,307 each; the actual cost is $311,900 each. DPW recommends an additional 20% contingency due to steel, electronic increase, and supply chain delays. The total requested amount is $748,560. These trucks will replace two that were purchased in 2013 and 2014,
