AT&T Mobility has submitted an application for Modifications of Requirements pursuant to Section 18-830 of the Town Code in connection with proposed wireless telecommunications improvements at 527 Maple Ave., E. The application includes a request for a modification of requirements related to the height of architectural features associated with the proposed telecommunications facility, as regulated by Section 18-212 of the Town Code.
In accordance with Sections 18-212 and 18-830 of the Town Code, the application has been reviewed by Town staff and is being transmitted to the Planning Commission and Board of Architectural Review for review and recommendation.
The final step in the review process is consideration by the Town Council at a public hearing.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Pursuant to Sections 18-830.D and 18-212.1.C of the Town Code, requests for modifications of requirements related to the height of architectural features extending beyond nine (9) feet above the roof level require review and recommendation by the Planning Commission and Board of Architectural Review, followed by Town Council consideration and determination at a public hearing.
The proposed architectural features associated with the telecommunications facility, including rooftop screening walls used to conceal antennas and related equipment, are proposed to extend approximately 12 feet 4 inches above the roof level. The proposed height is generally consistent with the height of existing telecommunications screening structures and antennas currently located on the building. Those existing structures received variance approval under the prior zoning ordinance.
