Vienna Community Center Renovation and Expansion Project Update

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
Staff will provide an update on the Vienna Community Center Renovation and Expansion project. The update will include a discussion on the parallel path now being taken - designing for a full-sized gym and a smaller gym, based on continuing discussions with Fairfax County Public School staff. Staff will also provide an update on the following:
· Schedule, including the status of peer review with KTA
· Bid issuance, opening and award date
· Relocation process
· Agreement with NOVAParks
· Cost estimating
OVERVIEW:
As this project moves forward decisions may be needed regarding the continued negotiations with the Fairfax County Public School Board.
SUMMARY/STAFF IMPRESSIONS:
In light of current circumstances, staff is continuing with a parallel planning and design path.
