EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The adoption of the Maple Avenue Commercial (MAC) zone requires renumbering a subsequent code section to allow for numerical continuity and to provide for reserved sections for future code additions, if necessary. Per ยง 15.2-1433. Codification and Recodification of Ordinances of the Code of Virginia, "Renumbering or rearranging of sections, articles or other divisions of any such ordinance shall not be deemed to be a change, alteration or amendment of a substantive nature." The proposed renumbering does not alter any code provisions.

The Director of Planning & Zoning recommends adoption of the proposed ordinance.

Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town Attorney recommends adoption of the proposed ordinance re-numbering one section of the Town's zoning ordinance. This renumbering accommodates the numbering of the adopted Maple Avenue Commercial Corridor zoning code sections.
