Authorization of the expenditure for annual auditing fee with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
In February, 2015 the Town solicited RFP 15-04 for financial auditing services. The contract was awarded to Robinson, Farmer Cox Associates at the April 13, 2015 Council meeting for a six year contract with a three year extension. The contract begins on July 1, 2015. Robinson, Farmer, Cox has indicated that their auditing fees for fiscal year 2015-2016 to audit fiscal year 2014-2015 will not exceed the budgeted amount of $55,000.
We are asking Council to authorize the expenditure in the first year of the contract.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval of the expenditure for the annual auditing fees to Robinson, Farmer, Cox, Associates as awarded under RPF 15-04.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town solicited requests for proposals for the Town's statutorily required auditing. The Town Council subsequently awarded the contract to Robinson, Farmer Cox Associates. The Town Council may authorize the expenditure of funds for auditing services in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve the expenditure for the annual auditing fees with Robinson, Farmer, Cox, Associates PLLC as presented.
