Request approval of spending with Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP for Construction Management Support.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
To provide on-site inspection and insure quality construction on this summer’s $1.4 million water main replacement and sewer relining projects, the DPW Water and Sewer Division issued a $18,304 purchase order to Whitman, Requardt and Associates for a Part-Time Construction Management Specialist for two months.
All the construction is not complete and we request approval of an additional $18,304.00 for continuation of inspection. This will bring total spending to $36,608 for this service in FY16.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Finance Recommendation: Within budget. Recommend approval.
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town has a contract with Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP and the Town Council may approve the proposed expenditure of funds in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve $18,304 in additional spending with Whitman, Requardt and Associates, LLP as presented.
