Request approval of Vienna Community Center renovation and expansion contingency fund payment to Lukmire Partnership.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The proposed $24,170 expenditure will be used to address design costs necessary for an alternative design to the Auxiliary Gymnasium entrance in order to maintain the existing brick wall without penetrations and for site redesign to widen the W&OD Trail. Design costs for the alternative design to the Auxiliary Gymnasium will result in construction cost savings and improved program usage.
Departmental Recommendation:
I have reviewed expenditures and find that they are appropriate. Therefore, I recommend that Town Council fund the expenditure through contingency funds set aside for the Community Center Renovation.
Finance Recommendation: Available contingency. Recommend approval.
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council may approve the proposed expenditure of funds at its discretion.
