BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
The Town Council is considering a measure that would allow its Members to participate in its Meetings electronically. This measure is allowed in the State Code.
OVERVIEW:
The Town Council has the authority to allow electronic Meetings. It can also limit the frequency that its Members may use this option in a given Fiscal Year.
SUMMARY/STAFF IMPRESSIONS:
It is best that the Town Council place some parameters on the use of this provision.

My recommendation is that the Town Council develop a policy regarding Council Members joining meetings electronically.
