Request to approve additional FY16 spending with RJ Merkel

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The annual $20,000 blanket purchase order for pavement markings is nearly exhausted. The Department of Public Works felt the completely worn & faded Old Court House Road NE & Westbriar Drive crosswalk was a safety issue due to volume of traffic and limited sight distance. Maintenance funds were transferred and because the total expenditure with the vendor is over $20,000, we request approval of the additional $1,462 expenditure with RJ Merkel.
