BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
The Community Enhancement Commission with the support of the Town of Vienna wants to encourage and recognize faith congregations as they move toward greater environmental sustainability and model this commitment for the community. Modeled on the Virginia Green Restaurants and the Virginia Green Lodging programs which promote sustainability in the tourism industry, this annual self-certification program will help Vienna congregations model sustainability for the Vienna community.
