Addendum to the Town Manager’s Employee Agreement

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Town Manager’s term of employment is renewable by an addendum to his employment agreement executable by Council. The addendum effective July 1, 2016 is for a two-year period; however, compensation is for a one-year period through June 30, 2017. Increased compensation will be at the discretion of Town Council dependent on the Town Manager’s performance evaluation, pursuant to provisions of Section 12 of the Employment Agreement.

Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council has approved the budgetary portion of the Town Manager’s salary and re-appointment of the Town Manager, but it has been proposed to modify the Town Manager’s employment contract to provide for a two-year term extension. Accordingly, Town Council may approve the proposed contract addendum in its discretion.
