Renewal of Annual Audit Contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates PLLC

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
In February 2015, the Town solicited RFP 15-04 for financial auditing services. The contract was awarded to Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates at the April 13, 2015 Council meeting for a six-year contract with a three-year extension. Robinson, Farmer, Cox has indicated that its auditing fees for fiscal year 2016-17 to audit fiscal year 2015-16 will not exceed the budgeted amount of $55,000.
We request that Council authorize the expenditure for the second year of the contract.
Departmental Recommendation: Renewal of annual auditing contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval of renewal.
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town may renew its contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates in the discretion of Town Council.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve the expenditure for the second year of the contract with Robinson, Farmers, Cox Associates.
