Request approval to spend $22,179 to replace DPW Vehicle #40 within the VRP

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Vehicle #40, utilized by the Department of Public Works, is due for replacement as part of the Vehicle Replacement Program. The estimated replacement cost was $24,150, and actual cost is $22,179. As such, the Department of Public Works presents the following:
• 2017 Ford Escape SE FWD from NJPA contract as described in quote 7755.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval to purchase one 2017 Ford Escape SE FWD from NJPA, contract as described in quote 7755.
Finance Recommendation: Finance recommends approval.
Purchasing Recommendation: The NJPA contract is current and rideable.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town may ride the NJPA contract for the proposed purchase of a 2017 Ford Escape or solicit bids in the discretion of Town Council.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve riding NJPA contract for the purchase of a 2017 Ford Escape SE FWD.
