Renewal of annual audit contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates PLLC

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
In February 2015, the Town solicited RFP 15-04 for financial auditing services. The contract was awarded to Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates at the April 13, 2015 Council meeting for a six-year renewal period with a three-year extension. Robinson, Farmer, Cox has indicated that its auditing fees for fiscal year 2017-18 to audit fiscal year 2016-17 will not exceed the budgeted amount of $55,000.
We request that Council authorize expenditures for the third year of the contract.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend renewal of annual auditing contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend renewal of annual auditing contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates.
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town may renew and extend its annual audit contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates PLLC or solicit proposals in the discretion of Town Council.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve renewal of the annual auditing contract with Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates as presented.
