EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Departmental Recommendation: Mobilitie, LLC co-locates and installs telecommunication antennas on existing utility and light poles within a locality’s right-of-way. Mobilitie, LLC is in the process of obtaining conditional use approval for its equipment as required by the Town Code (the company currently has been issued a CUP by BZA for three locations), but pursuant to state and Town codes, they are required to obtain a license for use of the right-of-way.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council must conduct a public hearing to grant a license or franchise for use of the public right-of-way for more than five years.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend that Town Council conduct a public hearing on July 10, 2017 regarding Mobilitie, LLC’s request as presented.
