EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY

 

Bids were received from one vendor for the subject IFB. Results of the bids are detailed on the attached bid tabulation.

 

Slurry Pavers was the low bidder with a total bid amount of $136,120; this amount is solely used to determine the low bid of a unit price contract. Slurry Pavers has been determined to be a responsive and responsible bidder and has met specifications of the IFB. DPW also requests approval of FY18 spending with Slurry Pavers in the amount of $75,000.

 

Departmental Recommendation:  Award IFB 18-03 to Slurry Pavers and approve FY18 spending

 

Finance Recommendation:  Recommend approval.

 

Purchasing Recommendation:  Recommend approval.

 

Town Attorney Recommendation:  The Town may award the proposed slurry seal contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the discretion of Town Council.

 

Town Manager's Recommendation:  I recommend the Town Council award IFB 18-03 to Slurry Pavers as presented.
