Onondio Cove Subdivision Performance Bond Extension Request

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Swan Homes, LLC requests an extension of the performance bond for public improvements, in accordance with Vienna Code Sec. 17-65, associated with the subdivision located at 920 Ninovan Drive SE. The current bond was reduced on April 14, 2016 to $347,143 but has expired.
DPW recommends that the bond be extended for an additional 18 months so that the remainder of public improvements can be completed.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Pursuant to Town Code Section 17-65, a subdivider must complete public improvements associated with a subdivision within 18 months of approval unless granted an extension as provided for in Town Code Section 17-65.2:
Sec. 17-65.2. - Public improvement completion time extensions.
