Feedback from Businesses Received by the TBLC

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
As part of its mission to represent concerns of the local business community to Town government and management, the Town Business Liaison Committee wishes to report on feedback it has recently received from several business owners.
OVERVIEW:
As the TBLC has become more proactive over the past couple of years, its members are engaging more frequently with business owners and receiving feedback from them. Some of this feedback indicates that the Town of Vienna may wish to consider ways to become more business friendly. TBLC Chair Friderike Butler would like to discuss this feedback with Council, share specific examples, and provide some suggestions as to how the Town and staff may be able to work more effectively with businesses.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Town Council may wish to provide guidance to the TBLC and staff members as to immediate steps it endorses to enhance the new business/changing business experience with the Town of Vienna. Long-term, Town Council may wish to consider this feedback and possible solutions as part of the strategic planning process.
