Approve FY19-20 VDOT Transportation Alternative Project Funding Resolution

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
VDOT is currently accepting applications for FY19-20 Federal Transportation Alternative grant funding for transportation projects.
DPW has to submit Transportation Alternative (80% federal/20% local match) applications for:
Church Street NE sidewalk extension (300 block) from 350 Church Street NE to Glyndon Street NE.
The proposed local match required for these projects will come from our available NVTA 30% allocation funding.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval of Transportation Alternative Resolutions.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town Council may approve the proposed VDOT Transportation Alternative Project Funding Resolution in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve the Transportation Alternative Resolutions for the Church Street NE Sidewalk Extension as presented.
