Approve FY19-20 VDOT Revenue Sharing Resolutions

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
VDOT is currently reviewing applications for FY19-20 Revenue Sharing grant funding for transportation projects. Applications were submitted November 1, 2017 for funding that would be available beginning July 1, 2018.
DPW submitted Revenue Sharing (50% state/50% local match) applications for:
1. Church Street NE sidewalk extension (300 block) from 350 Church Street NE to Glyndon Street NE.
2. Echols Street SE Reconstruction from Delano Drive SE to Follin Lane SE.
3. Pavement Maintenance, including 2” mill and overlay, of various streets (see attached asphalt condition spreadsheet)
The proposed local match required for these projects is proposed as follows:
1. Church Street Sidewalk: from NVTA local 30% allocations
2. Echols Street Reconstruction: Town Capital Improvement Program
3. Pavement Maintenance: Annual General Fund asphalt budget
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval of Revenue Sharing Resolutions
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval of resolutions
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town Council may approve the proposed VDOT revenue sharing resolutions for transportation projects in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council approve the VDOT Revenue Sharing Resolutions for the Church Street NE Sidewalk, Echols Street SE Reconstruction, and Pavement Maintenance as presented.
