2019 Town Council Meeting Resolution for its Schedule and Calendar

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Town Council meeting and workshop dates are included as part of the Town’s annual calendar, which is mailed to all residents and businesses in December. Staff requests Council’s approval of the 2019 meeting schedule for inclusion in the 2019 Town Calendar.
A working draft of the 2019 Town Calendar has been provided for Town Council’s review and approval; please note that at this time (August 10) other bodies’ meeting dates may still be subject to change and all Town events have not yet been added.
In addition to meeting and event information, the 2019 Town Calendar will feature artwork created by Vienna Arts Society members and include information about Town Council and boards and commissions, a list of recyclable materials, and answers to frequently asked questions received by staff.
Departmental Recommendation: The Communications and Marketing Department recommends that Town Council adopt the 2019 meeting and work session scheduled for inclusion in the 2019 Town Calendar.

Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: Pursuant to the Town Charter and Town Code, the Town Council must meet at least once per month and generally should meeting on the first and third Mondays of each month. The Town Council may set and modify its meeting calendar by resolution.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council adopt the resolution to set the 2019 Town Council meeting schedule, as presented.
