Request award of IFB 19-06 for on-call, small-task concrete maintenance

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Public Works staff has been having trouble scheduling small, isolated work orders (typically less than $20,000) from our general on-call roadway and maintenance contractor. As an alternative to the time-consuming process of requesting three quotes for each small task, DPW has solicited a small task order contract. Staff requests award of IFB 19-06 for on-call, small-task concrete maintenance to US Concrete and Paving. Proposals were received from four (4) vendors for the subject RFP. US Concrete and Paving, Inc. was the lowest bidder at $617,745 and has been determined to be a responsive and responsible bidder.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Finance Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town has competitively bid the proposed maintenance concrete contract, and Town Council may award the proposed concrete maintenance contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council award IFB 19-06 for small task concrete maintenance to US Concrete and Paving as presented.
