Public hearing on proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission code provisions

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Community Enhancement Commission requests to change its name to Conservation and Sustainability Commission. This name change and other possible amendments are more in line with the Community Enhancement Commission’s goal to promote a culture of conservation and support Town Council’s goals of an environmentally sustainable community.
Departmental Recommendation: Parks & Recreation Department recommends a public hearing to allow public input on the proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission’s code provisions. The department also recommends approval of the name change and proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission code provisions.
Finance Recommendation: N/A
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town may hold a public hearing to receive public input on the proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission Town Code provisions in the discretion of Town Council.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council move that the Town Clerk be authorized to advertise notice of intent to adopt the name change of the Community Enhancement Commission as presented.
