Award design contract for 441 and 443 Orchard Street NW drainage improvements

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The right-of-way along 441 and 443 Orchard Street NW is an existing shoulder and ditch roadway with minimal drainage infrastructure. In heavy rains, stormwater flows down the street and ponds on these properties. Homeowners have reported repeated incidences of concern.
At this time, DPW requests to use Urban Ltd to provide engineering services for survey and design of drainage improvements, utilizing the on-call civil engineering contract RFP 19-01 in the amount of $31,000 ($29,400 for task order plus 5% contingency). Money for this task will come from the Stormwater Fund.
