Proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission code provisions

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Community Enhancement Commission requests to change its name to Conservation and Sustainability Commission. This name change and other possible amendments are more in line with the Community Enhancement Commission's goal to promote a culture of conservation and support Town Council's goals of an environmentally sustainable community.
A public hearing on the proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission Code provisions was held at the Town Council meeting on November 7, 2018. Feedback from the public hearing and recommendations from Town Council were received. Town Council closed the public hearing and directed staff to bring revisions back to the next Council meeting on January 7, 2019.
Departmental Recommendation: Parks & Recreation Department recommends approval of the name change and proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission code provisions.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council may authorize the Notice of Intent to Adopt the proposed Town Code edits in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council authorize the Town Clerk to advertise notice of intent to adopt the name change of the Community Enhancement Commission to Conservation and Sustainability Commission as well as proposed changes to the Community Enhancement Commission's code provisions and set the intent to adopt on January 28, 2019, as presented.
