Request approval of MOU between Town of Vienna and Vienna Business Association for 2019 Oktoberfest

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Each year an MOU is required between the Town and Vienna Business Association for the annual Oktoberfest. The Town of Vienna and Vienna Business Association are continuing this very popular Oktoberfest event on Church Street. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, October 5.
Two changes have been made to this year’s contract as compared to last year:
1) The Town will provide fire extinguishers.
2) The Town will not provide tables and chairs. VBA has rented tables and chairs for Oktoberfest in the past and is not requesting them from the Town.
Departmental Recommendation: The parks and recreation director recommends approval of the MOU between the Town of Vienna and Vienna Business Association.

Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council may approve the proposed Vienna Business Association Oktoberfest MOU in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council authorize the Mayor to execute the attached MOU between the Town and Vienna Business Association for the 2019 Oktoberfest, as presented.
