EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has suggested that the Town reaffirm its blanket resolution of commitment to fund the local share of VDOT’s various grant-funding mechanisms. The current resolution, which the Town approved in 2007, lists specific grant-funding programs; however, it does not list many current programs. This updated resolution does not list specific programs, but rather provides general language that encompasses all programs, current and future. This resolution also provides authorization for the Town Manager to execute all project-specific agreements.
