Set Closed Session for Consultation with Legal Counsel

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Mayor would like to officially call for a closed session meeting of the Town Council to occur at the conclusion of the work session on Monday, May 20, 2019. At the previous Council Meeting, the closed session had been continued to June 3, 2019 and not May 20, 2019.
The purpose of this additional closed session is authorized by the Code of Virginia, Section 2.2-3711.A(8), which states that public bodies may hold closed meetings for consultation with legal counsel employed or retained by a public body regarding specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The Town Council may schedule a closed session for discussion of specific legal matters and provision of legal advice in its discretion.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council determine whether or not to go into Closed Session, at its discretion.
