EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Attached is an application from Sandra Thomas, property owner of 131 Wade Hampton Drive SW, for designation of the property as a Town of Vienna Historic Site. The application was reviewed and approved unanimously at the July 10, 2019 Historic Vienna, Inc. board meeting. The plot of land located at 131 Wade Hampton Drive SW was first owned by George Salisbury in 1872. Fairfax County tax records show the house was built in 1910.
Historic Vienna, Inc. recommends that Council approve this application.
Departmental Recommendation: The parks and recreation director recommends approving the addition of 131 Wade Hampton Drive SW to the Vienna Historic Property Register, #27.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Pursuant to Town Code 25-7, Town Council may, after receiving an application for inclusion on the Town of Vienna’s register of historic structures, approve, disapprove, or approve with conditions and qualifications, the application for inclusion.
