Request spending for Echols Street SE Paving Project utilizing IFB 20-03

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Department of Public Works requests funding to rebuild the roadway and replace curb, sidewalk, and gutter at Echols Street SE from Delano Drive to Follin Lane. This project involves removal and replacement of the full depth pavement section, curb, gutter, and sidewalk. All work is to be in accordance with the most recent version of Town of Vienna standard construction details, VDOT road and bridge standards, and specifications of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Funding for this project will come from VDOT Revenue Sharing and 2018 bond funds as approved by Town Council. The Town’s on-call contractor for roadway maintenance, Arthur Construction, who was procured under IFB 20-03, will be used to implement this project.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Town Council may approve the proposed roadway/ROW rebuild in its discretion.
