Transportation Safety Commission (TSC) - Updating Citizen’s Guide to Traffic Calming Guide

BACKGROUND SUMMARY:
The TSC has been working on an update to the Citizen’s Guide to Traffic Calming since February 2019 and first shared a draft with Council at the February 11, 2019 Work Session. This guide was established in 2002 and updated once in 2011 and should be updated again to include new/current technology, policies and procedures.
OVERVIEW:
Representatives from the TSC will discuss with Council the final draft, request the Council’s feedback. The TSC will prepare the final document for Council approval tentatively scheduled for February 24th Council meeting.
SUMMARY/STAFF IMPRESSIONS:
Staff supports the Transportation Safety Commission’s (TSC) work on this draft of Citizen’s Guide to Traffic Calming. Staff understands that Town Council will likely have suggested modifications to this document. Staff is ready to adjust this document as expressed in this Work Session.
