Continuation of Consideration of 2019 Annual Report

Per Virginia Code §15.2-2221.5, the local planning commission shall “make recommendations and an annual report to the governing body concerning the operation of the commission and the status of planning within its jurisdiction.”
Section II.C. of the Planning Commission Bylaws state, “The Planning Commission shall prepare a written Annual Report to the Town Council and, at the direction of the Town Council, present said report to the Town Council.”
At the last Planning Commission meeting, held on January 8, 2020, Commissioners had several comments on the formatting of the report and recommended revisions to the document. The Commission voted to continue the item at that meeting. Since the last meeting, staff has updated the report, addressing concerns of the Commission.
