EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Police Department requests that Town Council approve the third-year payment to Tyler Technologies for the SSMA. Tyler provides maintenance service to computer- aided dispatch, law enforcement records management, and mobile data systems. This is a sole-source contract, and appropriate waivers and notices have been posted.
This is the third year of a five-year SSMA with Tyler to ensure that the systems remain current and in proper working order through upgrades and new releases to the licensed standard software. The SSMA also provides for routine telephone support and emergency 24-hour, seven-days-per-week service
