VDOT resolution to designate Old Courthouse Road sidewalk project as a Revenue Sharing project

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Town currently has two VDOT Revenue Sharing projects - Marshall Road SW and Church Street NE Sidewalk projects - that have surplus VDOT funds. UPC 108692, Marshall Road Sidewalk, has a surplus of $113,978 in state match and $113,978 in local match for a total of $227,956. UPC 113222, Church Street NE Sidewalk, has a surplus of $102,817 in state match and $102,817 in local match for a total amount of $205,634.
These two projects are complete, with all reimbursements received by VDOT. These funds may be transferred to other Revenue Sharing projects or VDOT will de-allocate the funds and place them back into Commonwealth transportation funds. The Town does not currently have active, eligible projects to which these funds may be transferred. However, by resolution, Town Council may designate an existing project that will be ready for construction within the next 12 months as a Revenue Sharing project.
Old Courthouse Road is an eligible project as it will be ready for construction in the next 12 months. Therefore, staff asks that Council approve this resolution to designate it as a Revenue Sharing project so that the available funds may be transferred.
