Request approval for spending $388,000 with Arthur Construction Co., Inc., and $30,000 with US Concrete and Paving, Inc. for construction of Robinson Trust Sidewalk Projects.

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
At the February 24, 2020 Council Meeting, the Council approved sidewalk projects on Plum Street SW and Holmes Drive SW. The design is complete and ready for construction. In addition to these streets, DPW has identified various ‘missing sidewalk links’. DPW Is requesting authorization to spend $388,000 (quotes + 15% contingency) with Arthur Construction is for projects located at the following locations:
Plum Street SW - $131,412.50
503 & 505 Park St SW - $26,693
Holmes Drive NW - $178,472.50
The Department of Public Works requests authorization to utilize the On Call Roadway Maintenance Contract Number IFB 20-03 in the amount of $388,000 for the construction. This amount includes a 15% amount for increased quantities and contingencies. Funding for this construction is from the Robinson Trust and funding of $357,000 has been established in 300-000-0000-39445-48803.
The requested authorization to spend $30,000 (quotes + 15% contingency) with US Concrete and Paving, Inc. is for projects located at the following ‘missing link’ locations:
400 Kinglsey Rd SW - $16,037 - US Concrete
442 Park St NE - $9,702 - US Concrete

This amount includes a 15% amount for increased quantities and contingencies. Funding for this construction is from the Robinson Trust and funding of $30,000 has been established in 300-000-0000-39445-48803.
