EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Historic Vienna, Incorporated has requested to change the wording "from prior to 1900" to "at least 100 years old" in Section 25-8 - Presumptive qualification for registration for historic structures, sites and places in the Town Code. This rolling date, instead of a fixed date, will allow buildings and other structures erected at their present location, businesses continuously conducted in the Town and sites and places in the Town that have been used continuously to be considered for inclusion on the historic register based on the age of at least 100 years old.
The Parks and Recreation Department requests to set a public hearing for July 11, 2022 to discuss the proposed ordinance amending the Code of the Town of Vienna, Chapter 25, Section 25-8 and allow for public comment.
