Departmental Recommendation: Adopt the amendment of the Town’s Polling Locations for Town elections.

Town Attorney Recommendation: In response to the Virginia General Assembly’s amendment of Virginia Code Section 15.2-1400, all local elections for mayor, members of a local governing body, or members of an elected school board shall be held at the time of the November general election. Accordingly, the Town Code that designated the polling place for the Town elections must be amended to reflect the polling place locations for the November general elections. Those polling places/precincts are established by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Office of Elections. All Town voting precincts only cover areas of registered voters who reside within the Town’s corporate limits.
Town Manager's Recommendation: I recommend the Town Council adopt the proposed amendments to the Town Code Section 2-68, Polling Place, to reflect the polling place/voting precincts established for the November General election, as presented.
