The following Town Officials are presented for consideration of re-appointment for Fiscal Year 2023-24
Town Manager: Mercury T. Payton
Town Attorney: Steven D. Briglia
Town Clerk: Melanie J. Clark
Town Treasurer: Marion Serfass
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend appointments.
Finance Recommendation: N/A
Purchasing Recommendation: N/A
Town Attorney Recommendation: Pursuant to the Town Charter, Section 4.7, the Town Manager, Town Attorneys, Town Clerk, and Town Treasurer are appointed by the Town Council and perform duties consistent with the Charter, the Town Code, the Virginia State Code and additional duties prescribed by the Town Council. The Town Council may approve the proposed re-appointment of the Town’s Charter Officers in its discretion.

"I move to re-appoint the following Town Appointed Officers for Fiscal Year 2022-23:
Mercury T. Payton, Town Manager, pursuant to a contractual agreement; and
Steven D. Briglia as Town Attorney, pursuant to a contractual agreement between the Town of Vienna and Steven D. Briglia for legal and prosecuting services; and
Melanie J. Clark as Town Clerk; and Marion Serfass as Town Treasurer."
