FY2024 funding of contracts issued by other jurisdictions.

On June 6, 2022 the Vienna Town Council approved the contracts issued by other jurisdictions in the amount of $1,895,000.
EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
The Department of Public Works (DPW) uses numerous contracts competitively bid and issued by other jurisdictions as prescribed by Virginia State Law. At the end of the term, should any contract not be renewed, another municipal contract will be utilized, or work will be put out for bid. Any necessary approvals will be brought to Council for authorization.
DPW requests authorization to expend FY 2024 funds with the ten (10) vendors listed in the attached table.
Strategic Plan Initiative: Vienna is a fiscally responsible, efficiently mobile, and an environmentally sustainable community.
Departmental Recommendation: Recommend approval to utilize existing municipal contracts, accept renewals, and approve funding.
Finance Recommendation:
Purchasing Recommendation: Recommend approval.
Town Attorney Recommendation: The may utilize competitively bid contracts from other jurisdictions and approved entities under the cooperative procurement provisions of the Virginia Public Procurement Act. The Town Council may approve riding the proposed contracts or direct staff to solicit bids in its discretion.
