Request to adopt 2024 Town Council meeting schedule for inclusion in the 2024 Town Calendar

EXPLANATION AND SUMMARY:
Staff requests Vienna Town Council’s approval of its 2024 regular meeting and conference session schedule, as required by Town Code, for inclusion in the printed 2024 Town of Vienna calendar. The printed Town calendar includes meeting dates for Town Council and other boards and commissions along with Town events. The printed calendar is expected to be mailed to residents by Dec. 1, 2023.
The 2024 printed calendar will feature images of artwork by members of the Vienna Photographic Society. A draft of the proposed 2024 Town Council meeting calendar is attached.
Departmental Recommendation:
Public Information Office staff requests Council’s approval of the 2024 Vienna Town Council meeting schedule for inclusion in the printed 2024 Town calendar.

Town Attorney Recommendation: Pursuant to the Town Charter Section 4.2 and Town Code Section 2-14, the Town Council shall meet at least once a month and generally meet in regular session on the first and third Mondays of each month at 8:00pm or at such other times as may be fixed by resolution or motion.
